There were a couple bugs in the executable I had so I decided to spend several hours working with several years old code. Here's what we've got:

• Text color black by default
  • Now you can actually see the text!
• Control scheme overhaul
  • Single key gameplay: [SPACE]
• Removed extra box bonus
  • Not even I could understand the code that did this.
• Accuracy bonus
  • Landing a box at the center/close to the center of the box under it yields a reward.
• Near-miss bonus
  • Landing a box at the edge/close to the edge of the box under it yields a reward.
• Boxes are pushed down instead of broken upon successful stack
  • Now you're actually building a super tall stack!
• Removed powerup boxes
  • Now powerups are given immediately after special UFOs are killed.
